The Long Mynd trophy trial is a Motorbike event.

We at South Shropshire MCC will be holding the Long Mynd Trophy road trial on the 8th of August. The road trial will start from the Secondary school in Church Stretton (SY6 6EX) The first riders will be away at 9am, there will be more information available about the route at the school Sunday morning.

Well it is sort of....I'm at University doing a Motorsport Degree which includes covering composites, but with trials being such a niche market where there isn't huge investment like car racing and motocross I'm interested as to how many people are buying the parts. From a business point of view I'm interested in the quality of the part and the materials being used as this is related to the investment put in buy the manufacture in the moulds etc. Pre-preg parts are high quality and high cost which is a big risk for the companies as if they don't sell it

What I really wanted to know is three things: 1. How many people have bought Carbon Fibre/Composite parts for their bikes? 2. For the people who have bought Composite parts were you happy with the quality, cost, fitments, where did you buy it from? 3. Finally are there people looking for Composite replacement parts but can't find them, if so what bike are they for? If you know what the materials are aswell that would be good to know. Evening, Just to let anyone know who was interested in riding this weekend (15/02/09) at the South Shropshire MCC Trial due to be held at Three Birches, this event has now been postponed and could possibly be held on the 22nd of March. You have to bear in mind that changes in temperature of the fuel can cause it to "go off", especially if its been left in a hot bike then it goes cold that night.
