  1. Hi guys Apologies but been playing football followed by a few drinks so possible typos/bs! Rode in trials in the 80s with Bri on his Bulto (sadly not as good as him) what a top bloke who could get grip from nowhere. Met him at an auction in Stokesley maybe 6/8 months ago and got chatting - told me he didnt have a bike & hadnt ridden for ages (big surprise for me having packed in 16 years ago) other than something like a GSX600. There was an old Fantic 300 for auction which I think might have raised his interest in the auction. Anyway had a good chat and it was so good to catch up with him. Tried my best to get him riding again. Seems like he has the bug again now as I have seen him riding recently, and its such a good thing for the sport (socially and competitively). Anyway, I must just say its just so good thing to see him back riding nowadays. Look forward to seeing you soon Bri, hopefully get out on my bike if I can sort myself out (still not got that van even after our chat at Rosedale!). Cheers n see you soon.
  2. I can remember Woodhouse Farm from the early 80's, was one of my favourite venues too. Always remember in A class it was a struggle to get a 175 up "the big red hill". Used to be able to practice there too. Looking on Google Earth, and some recollections of my last times there, think the house was swallowed up by the big pond. Was talking to somebody a while ago who said the enduro boys were paying silly money (to us tight fisted trialsriders) to compete there. Owner had been approached about holding trials there but asked for the same money as an enduro, making it unfeasible for trials - real shame as it would still be a great venue. Gaz, I can remember most of those venues too - and you and your Dad (and his beard)! Many memories of you on your Fantic 201. Hope you are well. What a fantastic range of venues we had to hold events at in those days, pity some are gone now as I am just starting to ride again.
  3. Hi, just for info as you do not say where you plan on using it, and I may be wrong, but doesn't the ACU handbook say something about not using power washers at ACU events, in line with their environmental policy? Even if not at an event, the issue outlined above of upsetting landowners is one that must be considered when doing this sort of thing. I would suggest trying to find some location where this activity would be approved of and acceptable to the landowner (although you may already have done so!).
  4. Yeah, I got a quote from Carole Nash few weeks ago:
  5. Thanks for that guys, worked a treat. I just spun the bars round to get more clearance from the roof and allow front wheel to sit in front corner. Fitted perfectly. Cheers for the help, much appreciated.
  6. Hi I'm a bit stuck for transport at the moment so am thinking about hiring a Vauxhall combo van (company only supply these or astras) for the weekend. Anyone know if I can fit a bike in without removing anything? Any suggestions as to the best way to fit it in? Corner to corner, need to compress forks etc.? Totally new to using small vans like this so any help at all appreciated, thanks.
