  1. Well, time has come I'm afraid...... Got meself a 315R and a helmet, and going to my first Trial as a competitor on Sunday. Slightly nervous to say the least, so any words of wisdom would be most welcome. I've given the bike a good servicing to, so there should be no snags there....its just my bottle that might let me down.... I think I've covered all the bases, but if theres anything obvious (to you) that I will defo need, let me know. Do I need to bother with tools etc, or is it a case of Bike broken-time to retire? What can I expect on a novice route? Any big rocks or anything? I've got a couple of days practice between now and then, so what should I be concentrating on? All help most welcome.... Nick...randyrat
  2. HI.. HAS ANYONE GOT EXPERIENCE OF A TOWBAR MOUNTED RACK FOR A TRIALS BIKE? LOOKS LIKE AN IDEAL AND NOT TOO DEAR OPTION FOR TRANSPORTING THE TRIALIE. (EVEN IF IT DOES LOOK UNSAFE AND DODGY!!!) I JUST WANTED TO SEE IF ANYONE HAD ANY SNAGS WITH THEM, OR IF THEY ARE THE DOGS BO**OCKS AS THEY SAY.... MANY THANKS NICK

I DID SOME TRIALLING ABOUT 15 YEARS AGO, JUST GREEN LANING FOR FUN ON AN OLD MONTY 250, BUT NOTHING SERIOUS. NOW IN MY SLIGHTLY OLDER (AND WISER!) AGE I FANCY TRYING IT OUT PROPERLY. AM I MAD? THE WIFE THINKS SO! ANYWAY, GOOD TO FIND SO MANY LIKE MINDED FOLK OUT THERE....HOPE TO MEET SOME OF YOU IN THE NEAR FUTURE. 8. Cheers Scott....it was the trial out at Bigland on Sunday. I am in Ulverston, Cumbria. Was looking at joining Barrow and District....they seem to have plenty going on....unless you know of a better one? Practice areas would be great...I know of a field near Roosecote Power station, but I'm not sure that its "legal" to ride there if you know what I mean... As always....any information gratefully received Nick
  9. Cheers Pete...will sort out the club/registration thing this week.. Seen plenty bikes I fancy, but what engine size should I go for? What's the most popular size? Also what bikes to avoid? I've read a few posts on here slating gas gas for poor build quality etc..... Nick...randyrat
  10. Hi..... I am itching to get into trials, and want some advice before I go on a spending spree....... I would like to ride competitively, but as I know nothing about the sport, what do I need to get started? Obviously a bike, but which would be a good forgiving starter....my budget for the bike will be about
