    Gas Gas 02 Txt

I've got an 03 gas gas txt and it looks exactly the same as that. I was told the pro didn't come out till the end of 2003. Lift up the dust covers on the forks and look at the top of the fork seal. If it's a 38x48x10 then the bike is a txt, not a pro. Hope this helps

    Gas Gas

Hi, does anyone know a good website to purchase Gas Gas parts? I'm looking for a new clutch. Thanks
  3. It's a 2003 txt. The PRO came out just after mine, so it'll be the 700ml. Thanks again everyone
  4. Thanks for the info. I'll not be to deep in the river, only been ridin for a few weeks! Someone said to me that you needed 750ml in the gearbox, did they mean to say 350ml? Thanks again
  5. Hi everyone, I've just bought a 2003 gas gas txt 250. Everything works fine but I've noticed that when you bounce the front end and lift it off the floor you get a clunk as the fork sliders hit the stop inside. It's as though there's a slight bit of slack when the front wheels are off the floor, does anyone know what the remedy is? Any help would be really appreciated. Also are there any known faults with this model? Thanks mafferz
  6. Cheers for info everyone, summat to think about. Going with Beta I think, I'm a beginner and need a bike to be able to accept falls and crashes. Cheers everyone
  7. What dya reckon everyone, should I go for a Beta rev-3 250 or Gas Gas TXT 280? They're both 2003 models. Any info on build quality or rideability appreciated, cheers everyone. mafferz
  8. Hi, does anyone know if the mix screw on the carb screws in or out to lean off the fuel on a Fantic 205? also what fuel/oil ratio should it run on? Thanks, any info appreciated
  9. Hi everyone, does anyone know the quantity of oil required to fill up fork legs on a 1989 Fantic 205 ( 156cc )? Any help appreciated, Thanks.
  10. Now then weet. As scorpa said, 14lb to a stone, makes me a healthy 280lbs! Not sure what it is but ya sure can spot a 'yank' from a mile. The boots ,hat and shirt might be a clue. Where in the big USA you from then? I'm in a small town on east coast of england called scarborough. The taxi drivers ( cabbies ) scare the hell outa me to!!
  11. thanks for info, i'll give it a go. Need to get it sorted, costing a fortune in spark plugs! Thanks again
  12. 6'2" and 20 stone. 156cc fantic struggles abit!!!!
  13. Hi, I'm new to the forum so please bear with me. I've recently bought a fantic 205 ( I think it's a 1990 model, 156cc air-cooled, white with Orange seat, hubs and forks ), and I have had problems with it choking up and stalling, and then not re-starting until I changed the plug, which was black and wet. I experimented with the fuel/oil ratio and I am currently running 60ml of oil to 5 litres of fuel, which i've been told should be fine. I screwed the air/fuel mixture screw on the carb in a few turns and it hasn't stalled since. Is turning the screw in definitely leaning it out? Also the exhaust is quite carboned up, can this cause problems? And how can it be cleaned? Also how much oil to fill up the forks? Any advice would be muchly appreciated ( first bike so not got much of a clue), thanks, mafferz.
