  1. Excellent photos,

I really enjoy seeing photos of my old trials areas from the early 80's especially as I now live in Alberta, Canada. I even recognised a few names from the Telfit trial. Rode with them in the A class and then later on in a few Scotts. I need cheering up when it's minus 25 degrees centigrade outside, like it is right now.

I look forward to your next batch of photos.

    Cheers,

    Stoby.

p.s. The Scott video was great, even recognised Hilda at the start.

  2. Hi,

What are the steps for removing the waterpump/kickstart side case on an 03 270 Rev 3.? Can I leave the pump & hoses on and undo the case bolts and lift the whole cover off to check OR do I have to remove the pump etc first.

    Thanks.

P.S. Good luck to all the SCOTT Trial entrants. I rode it in '82, '83 & '84 and still have great memories about it.

  3. I remember Nick Jefferies riding a works CCM 350 up "Grand Canyon" at the SCOTT Trial in the late seventies. He made it up the section, with barely any revs at the top. I've still got a photo of Nick with his CCM at the finish of that SCOTT talking to Richie Sunter.

  4. On my '72 cota 247 I had the left hand side flywheel machined down a fair bit to improve its response and willingness to rev. I have to keep the idle a bit higher, but the motor definately feels more peppy. I've had it like that for 4 years and wouldn't go back to my spare original.

My footpegs have a serrated flatbar welded around their perimeter and i found it made one heck of a difference to my confidence, in knowing that my feet wouldn't be slipping off for no apparent reason, due to the non-existent grip from those "goosebumps" on the original footrests.

    Cheers.
