my shocks are blown on my beamish, any recomendations for replacements?
  12. anyone know how much sammy millar charges for a new one, it don't say on the website.
  13. i decided to try to get the dents out of my beamish tank tonite. my mate came over, we blocked up th petrol tap hole, fitted the air hose to the petrol cap breather, then i went to make a cuppa. when i got back, my mate is standing there with a sheepish look, and what looks like a yellow football. he just let rip with the compressor tap and promptly heard a loud DINK!! noise. luckaly the pipe blew off the petrol cap, so it didnt explode. so if anyone know of a beamish tank, please let me know. cheers Ben ps i'll try and sort some pictures
  14. hi all is the intake manifold for a beamish still available? i noticed a split in mine tonite. if they are no longer available, is there a way of fixing it thanks Ben
  15. be carefull i did my kx500 with it years ago, bike on trackstand, me sitting on milk crate, in my parents garage. i finished on side, and decided to stand up and step back to admire my handywork. i ended up on the floor, unable to get up. i had to call my old man to drag me out into the fresh air, where i stayed for about a half hour needless to say i did the other half outside pvc cleaner is dangerous stuff kids, but not as dangerous as spraying expanding foam, in a vehicle, thats being welded
  16. my mate has a 1999 tx249, it has had a front end impact. he needs fork stantions and a front wheel. where would be the best place to look for these parts? and how much are they likely to cost. he's not bothered if they are second hand. cheers Ben
  17. the best stuff for the job is pvc window cleaner, it looks like water but if you sniff it, it will blow your head off. if that doesn't work use autosol metal polish. if those two dont work, chuck the bloody thing away iv'e made some really crappy looking tanks look quite respectable with this method. if it works on your tank, spray some silicon spray on it, this seems to create a barrier over the plastic that stops dirt getting ingraned again cheers Ben
  18. oh yeah, how much is the replacement tank from sammy miller, any ideas?
  19. thanks guys, i was wondering if i could get the dents out like you can on an exhaust eg; pressureise it and warm the dents. (the tank hasn't seen petrol for a few years)
  20. hi everyone i now have my beamish 325, i got her started today. she started 3rd kick . now for the questions, the petrol tank(alloy) has a few dents in it, what would be the best way to remove them? also the threded collar that attaches the fuel tap to the tank is knackered, it looks to me to be a replacement tap job. any ideas where i can get a second hand one? thanks Ben
  21. i am hopefully going to do my childhood dream of compeating in a trial.
  22. thanks chaps, i think i'm gonna need a tank by the looks of it. i suppose thats going to be a second hand job, i wouldn't need a new one as this bike is going to be used quite a lot.
  23. hi all whats the spares availability for 325's, i'm not after anything specific at the mo, but i'm trying to get hold of one at the moment. thanks Ben
