Broke the kickstart lever today on my gasgas 250 txt pro, are they really that expensive?!?! Any recommendations where the cheapest I can get one would be very much appreciated.
  2. Have you had the front wheel out recently? Sometimes the can mis-aline. On my enduro bike I used to bounce the forks before tightening the pinch bolts on the bottom of the fork as I have seen front suspension 'lock' this way.

Just seen these OMF ones, for use with Fat Bars again though. Anyone had any experience with OMF? http://www.trialsuk.co.uk/htm/parts_&_..._trick_bits.htm

The silencer on my 2004 gasgas has been repaired before where the tyre has worn through (this was done before I got it). Its now worn through the plate/repair. Can it be replated again? Any idea of cost or where I can get it done near Ringwood, Dorset/Hants? Thanks.
  6. Many thanks for all responses and help - as an update I bought a new cap and a slow action throttle, although I have used the fast part of the old one for now, till I can try the slow.
  7. Thanks, may give this a shot.
  8. Thanks, but mines a metal one- not sure of their cost.
  9. Yes fine thanks, just clumsy!
  10. Thanks. Anyone any thoughts on the petrol cap?
  11. Just orderd a slow action one. Is it obvious which parts change between for slow/fast?
  12. Thanks, its a Domino and its white.
  13. I fell off today and the throttle housing turned, I went to tighten it and looks like the nut has pulled through the plastic so it wont. I guess I cant get away with just a throttle top, so how do I know if it was a fast or slow throttle? Also am I better going for a slow if I dont find out? I also caught my knee on the fuel cap and broke of the breather. I tried to get out what was in there so I could maybe put a new one in - but its broke clean and I even tried putting a self taper in to pull it out with no luck. Does this mean a whole new cap then? I was only trying to practise
  14. Well did my first trial yesterday. Really enjoyed it, did the yellow route at the Geoff Chandler Trial with Waltham Chase. Took me over 1hr and 15min to do the first lap, but then less than 30min next time round! Got two 5's - one for not making a hill and one for turning in a fig 8 (will know for next time!). The next time round I took a dab on the hill one to line myself up better. Had a few cleans but made lots of silly dabs. Got a lot to learn but cant wait for the next one

Ok, I know this could be posted in a different section, but somethings are gasgas specific and you all seem knowledgable and helpfull peple in here Firstly thanks for helping me out so far and I have finally ready(ish) to enter my first trial this weekend. I have rode enduro for a few years, but never a trails comp. A few questions: How long will my gasgas 250 pro 2004 last on a tank and how much fuel should I look to take? Can I turn my rear tyre to have the good edge forward? (I know this wont help braking). I will be running 4psi in back and 5.5 in front. Any other hints and tips? what do they look for on scrutineering? Thanks
  17. Thanks MIKEE, Any recommendations on reeds or just go for the standard one?
  18. Many thanks for the replies guys. Update - last night I completely stripped carb again and used compressed air to clean. Also blew out fuel hose, fuel tap and cleaned tank. Replaced plug and cap. It now runs great!!! Didnt see anything obvious. Many thanks again guys for all your help. I also checked the reeds - the ends are starting to wear and when looking through you can see they are starting to go thin - when is the right time to replace them? Thanks.
  19. Thanks MIKEE, but tried that.
  20. Cancel my last Think it only rev'd out because I had the tank off. The only time it will rev out now is if i switch the fuel of when running and then it will rev out and continue to for a few seconds after i have turned it back on too. Any ideas please Thanks
  21. Sorted hopefully. Robbed plug cap of a 1949 series 1 land rover just to try and revs loads better
  22. We have a TXT Pro 04 that starts first kick but does not rev out. It will tick over and run but as soon as you rev more than 1/4 of throttle it just splutters. When it gets warm it wont rev at all. Tried cleaning carb, air filter and checking plug. Mix of fuel is 1.5% as recommended. Read on a search on here about it could be plug cap, any other suggestions before i go to the shop? Many thanks
  23. Can you get a MX bike in the Fiat Doblo anyone know?
  24. All done cheers. I also bled the brakes today, but when i went to bleed the clutch the nipple snapped off! Does this come with a new cable or can you buy just thenipple and what goes into caseing? Thanks again.
  25. Thanks guys, will go try now.
