I jumped from an 01 to a 04 and boy was there a difference. It took me quite a while to get used to it. It was a lot more responsive than my old bike and revs higher, glad i changed though.
  2. I saw Fumitaki Nozakis (think thats spelt right!) on TV last week in one of the indoors, and it covered the whole of the outside of the silencer. I managed to put three dents in my silencer on my 04 bike in its first trial, talk about p****d off !
  3. Ive now fitted the cf water pump guard to my 04 SY250. It was carbon look sticky on my old tank, just thought it looked a bit better. Ive fitted some carbon look fork protectors (cheaper than the real thing !). Im trying to get hold of a carbon cover for the rear exhaust like the works bikes have but im not having much look. Have a look on www.jitsie.com they do quite a few carbon goodies for all bikes. I know all this carbon fibre doesnt make me ride any better but it makes my bike look different ! Hope some of this has helped, Dave.
  4. Sorry about the delay, its had a couple of really hard hits against rocks and theres been no damage at all, its really strong and very light. The website for eurodirt is www.rof.net/yp/eurodirt and the e-mail is eurodirt@rof.net it cost me
  5. I bought this water pump guard off eurodirt, its already done its job a few times too, and it still looks like new.
  6. I have a 04 SY250 as well and mine hasnt got the flat bash plate either, just the normal one. My dealer told me they didnt bring it into production because they had doubts whether it would be strong enough, so they stuck with the normal one.

Now now sparky no need to get tetchy !!!! Its amazing what different stories different people hear in one area. Ive had a few people say to me (pro owners) that when they are running right they are a good bikes but it gets to the point where they dont want to ride them cos they know something will go wrong, or is it bad maintenance ? I dont go slagging other bikes either, most of them are pretty good i'd say, unfortunatly plenty of people in our area seem happy to slag Scorpa's off, i wonder why ? Man Wren doesnt need to go giving back handers out to promote Scorpa's, the bike speaks for its self !!!

Wouldnt touch a pro with a barge pole personally, too many have broke down in my area, but each to there own. Most people where i live say Gas Gas UK dont want to know when something goes wrong with them, so who do you believe ? I'll stick with my trusty Scorpa thanks.

Was at a trial a fortnight ago and there was a couple of 2004 300pro's there and when they were ticking over with clutch lever out they rattled like hell, with the lever pulled in it stopped. They are apparently supposed to do this ! It put me right off even having a go on one in case anything broke. Also heard about a top rider doing a demo recently on a 2004 280pro and after 20mins the gearbox exploded, comes as no surprise really !
