my son has a 2001 txt280 and is having problems with the clutch. He finds it difficult to pull in using 1 finger and because of this starts to develope cramp in his forearm! Does anyone know how to cure the problem? The lever is well greased and the bolt is not tight. many thanks

what are the requirements for a number plate and lighting on trials bikes that are ridden on the road?

sounds like a brilliant idea the sponge you put in the bottom of the air box how big/thick should i use and did you stick it down?

when i first got bike it wouldnt start when i picked it up from shop i was told then they had a few problems with a few cdi units. do the ht leads burn out so quickly,ive only had bike a few months? will a faulty cdi cause a weak spark? when i took the plug out it was wet and black i will have to check how the spark looks.

dont go out when its raining, keep out of puddles and dont wash your bike! other people ride bikes called betas we just test them and they put put "gasgas" on the tank. Still best bike ive ever had though despite teething problems

hello all I have a 2004 280 pro and i am sometimes having difficulty starting it, from hot and cold. anyone else had similar problem and how did you resolve it? carb/filter is clean and plug is gapped to gasgas reccomendations.

is it possible to take the crack off the exhaust note? im trying to be as discreet as possible where i ride especially because of all the trouble with noise pollution has anyone else found the std bars to small (im 6 foot tall) and if so what size have you replaced them with? and last but not least how do you stop water getting into the air box through the flap at the bottom but still allow water to drain out? (why cant manufacturers design bikes for all seasons and sizes we cant all be 4' 6" and live in spain!)

the 4 strokes at sheffield indoor was were very loud in comparison. if the noise travels further than a 2 stroke you can guarantee someone will complain with twice the volume bikers are in the minority and we all no what happens when it comes to a vote!

make sure you always save the original without any file compression before you decide to edit, some photos only ever come once no matter how good or bad your equipment is! after editing make sure you save with minimum file compression, because each subsequent save will reduce image quality. any photo is always better than none at all so try and keep it. and dont forget if you spend to much time with the camera you arent riding your bike

it was our 1st time at sheffield and can understand why a lot of people were dissapointed with the setup of the venue. i couldnt see most of the sections and couldnt hear what the bikes were doing so its hardly suprising that we couldnt get in to it! why couldnt they have video screens and someone following the riders with a camera and a mic? Oh and i hope they get rid of the noise on those 4 strokes or we will be seeing trials getting banned in the countryside as well as trail bikes But on a good note the riding i could see was insperational to see (by all the riders)

Thanks for the help altered the needle to the 2nd position before i went riding 2da and it feels like a different bike. more responsive, ticks over better and pulls at low revs where it would usually stall. do any of you know how to make it start better sometimes i have to kick it 3/4 times before it comes to life? I have changed the float level to 17mm as advised by Kev @ gasgas which seems to help but doesnt cure it. its never a problem until just before i drop it over a 12 foot rock edge facing downhill' ((or is that about 4inch). i have vertigo just prior to gettin out of bed') many thanks happy new year all

thanks for the very prompt reply im out riding tomorrow and lookin forward to trying it. my carb kept freezin yestaday due to water gettin in the vents while jet washing so hopefully going to be a better day

Hello all! I have a 04 280 pro and the plug is always wet, can anyone tell me what the correct position the clip should be on the needle jet? And also whats the point of the flap at the bottom of the airbox, it keeps letting water in Hope you all had a good xmas
