ive got an 07 gas gas txt 250. due to the bad weeather and other stuff i havn't been out in around 10 weeks and the bike has just been sat in the garage. however yesterday i decided to go out but my rear shock seems really stiff and doesn't rebound much when compressed. anyone have any idead as to what this could be? thanks

ive got a gas gas 250 2007, only had it just over a month im really happy with it. found out my exhaust needs repacking last week which i would imagine is the same with all bikes, and like manx2day said, so long as you look after it and keep on top of it then apart from general wear and tear then they are as reliable as any other bike. my mate has just bought an 06 250 which is in very good condition and that is as smooth as anythin.

went out on my bike yesterday and when i revved the bike a little bit it made a slight hissing noise from the carb one the throttle was passed a certain point the noise stopped. someone told me that its the carb sucking air in through one of the needled on the carb, as the o-ring had gone. there was a slight bit of leakage from the neadle aswell. Does this sound about right? what is the best way to go about sorting the problem?

only went and snapped my back mudguard today on my 2007 gas gas txt 250, and its definatly not repairable plus i wouldn't want to attempt to bodge it so i need a new one. does anyone know where you can get a new one apart from gas gas uk as they are asking

Hello all Bought a 2007 gas gas txt 250 a few weeks ago. going to change the oil this week, do i just undo the bolt underneath the bash plate where there is a hole in the bash plate? an when refilling the fresh oil does that go in the hole where there is a alan key bolt with a bleeding nipple next to it, just above the gear lever? thanks in advance

what does grease yoursuspension consist of? is it just simply greasing the bearings below the rear shock. i was just wondering what id need to do, how often it needs doing on my 2007 txt 250. thanks

just a bit of learning, what is pinking? also i use standard 95 petrol and i noticed you mentioned using 98, does it make much difference?

my bike seems absolutely fine with no spluttering etc. i just noticed it in a few adverts and hoped it wasn't a vital bit of maintenence i had been leaving out. but until i start noticing any symptoms i think ill leave it. thanks for your help

New to trials, and i don't know if im missing the obvious, but in some bike adverts ive noticed it says 'carb cleaned after every use'. what does is mean by cleaning the carb? and how do you do it?

i give it all a good clean the other night and the brakes now seem ok. see how i get on at weekend! i dindn't think a bit of water and brake fluid would make such a big difference

ive spoken to the guy i got the bike off and he said the pads are fine, said there may just be a bit of oil on the dics and try giving them a clean. ill try that later and see what difference that makes

thanks graham yes the front lever feels firm, so from what you have said i think it must be the brake pads. i'll whack some new ones on this week an see what difference that makes. thanks alot
