Green to black is the trigger and should be about 40-60 ohms. red to black is primary and should be 500-700 ohms. Black to ground is zero cos its earth. Yellow to black is 12V when the engine runs!

let us know your readings. I can get primary rewould, triggers are availble new from France for 95 euros each!

plymouth windings can do the primary, let me know what they say about the trigger. If all your readings are ok, the the ht coil is probably bu((ered. A ducation coils can be made to fit and is available from steve goode. use this diagramm

Thanks for the help, both readings on the coil and pick up are within the correct tolerance, it must be the main ht coil, any idea which one is best.

Thanks John

I bought an HT coil for my 240 from Steve Goode and it has run well ever since, you need to wire it up differently but there are instructions included. Bill Pye wants
