sam Posted March 9, 2007 Author Report Share Posted March 9, 2007 I did a compression test by putting a little oil in the cylinder, the reading is the same, 90-100. Not sure if it would run correctly that way or not due to back pressure being wrong but that may help to figure out if exhaust is plugged. sam Posted March 12, 2007 Author Report Share Posted March 12, 2007 I purchased a new piston and ring set for this bike, also in the set is a spring looking part that must go under the top ring, is this necessary on a freshly bored and honed cylinder. sam Posted March 26, 2007 Author Report Share Posted March 26, 2007 Runs perfect! New top end, eliminated oil injection, One super happy kid yesterday. The largest problem was solved with a giant bonfire, there was so much sludge in the exhaust I tossed the little muffler in a giant fire, burnt that baby but good!
