September 28, 200718 yr I think the belgians are the ones to thank for this. Whilst taking nothing away from Iris the severity was not hard enough for laia to recover from a mistake, she is without doubt the best lady rider the world has ever seen.

Yes, you're right. However it was the same course for everyone to ride.... sometimes it's the easy sections that decide an event.

A world championship decided by a single section? A world championship decided over just two trials is strange but for the tie break to simply have been the one who won last... now that's bizzare!
September 29, 200718 yr You must feel for both the ladies here. Without a doubt Laia would be feeling sooooo disappointed at such a mistake costing her a World Championship. Her day consisted of one dab, and a errant wheel placement , 6 points. Iris would be elated in her achievement of toppling the 7 times Ladies world champion fair and square. She has persisted in providing a strong challenge all these years and has been rewarded for hanging in. Well done Iris.
