October 12, 200718 yr I was just wondering if any clubs/championships ever offer prize money? Does the British championship give out cash?If I was to offer a sum to the winner of an event, how much would it need to attract a top entry, or is it a waste of money? Another propblem you will face if you want to attract a top entry is scheduling. the shedule of trials at national level including BTC, Novogar rounds, SSDT,Scott,IOM 2 day,Lakes 2 day other nationals like colonial, peak trial, bemrose etc it doesnt leave many free weekends. the prize money will alomst be irrelevant if it clashes with any of the big events, and usually club events have to clash with these events because there is so many of them. you might just end up with some kid who has been riding your trials before, still winning and turning up on a new bike every 6 months?
