bingo
i had the same problem the other day with my gasser, i put up a topic on here and have not had any response yet, i have ordered a flywheel puller today so will have the thing in bits tomorrow, i'm told there is probably water been getting in somewhere for sometime and its got corroded, not sure you will have the same problem with a brand new bike though! fkrisztian
Please tell me, that this is not again a typical Beta stator problem. I hope that something else is the problem.

scorpa3
If it's an '08 bike, won't you simply take it back to the supplying dealer?

benj
i'm hoping to buy a beta as i prefer them the best. if you buy a replacement stator are they the same as the one that broke or are they making better ones. is it something you could change when riding out or a strip down job. baldilocks
I rode a Beta in the 03 SSDT to be fair john boy was excellent in that every rider was given a kit to change the stator if it failed out on the moors. BUT it is now 2008 and despite John saying the later 2003 stators had been modified and would not fail clearly this is not the case. Its ridiculous that a modern bike has had a known problem for 5 years, sorry betabonkers but saying the last failure you had was 2004 isnt good enough. The electrics are rubbish and need sorting out. Now what happened to that xispa bike, current quality but cheaper !
lennie
Every Rev3 beta i have owned has had stator and / or CDI problems and my 06 just had to have the stator and CDI replaced. If it's an '08 bike, won't you simply take it back to the supplying dealer? Thats not really the point is it, if you buy a new bike it should work properly. It is taking the p*** a bit, you would have thought they would have fitted reliable electrics by now!!
