April 27, 200818 yr I retarded the ignition timing on my TL250 and managed to get rid of that pesky "off Idle" caugh...but can't see any way of doing that on the TLR, the ignition timing is preset... But also don't seem to have that same trouble either...just haven't ridden it enough yet to know... M
April 28, 200818 yr The adjustable cam sprockets for the other 200cc Hondas from parts unlimited will fit the TLR Reflex. Retarding the cam timing takes some power off of the top and puts it on the bottom. I liked the change but it gave more response to the bottom not less.
April 28, 200818 yr Are you you don't mean advance the cam timing? Usually advancing cam timing and or retarding ignition timing softens the bottom end.
May 23, 200818 yr Author I fitted the Domino throttle and a new Venhill cable in the end. Did the Hawks trial last weekend and it was excellent. Most of it was 1st gear but may have been okay in 2nd. Plus due to the footrest lowering done by the last owner and longer shocks I was well pleased with it. Cheapest trials bike I have bought and best I have done in a trial. Jobs a good un.
