Hi just got a new stand, spring and allen key fittings for my gasgas, as didn't have a stand before, I can fit the stand, but can't work out how to fit the spring.

I know one end goes on the little bit of metal that sticks up half way up the stand, does the allen key screw go through the other end of the spring and through the bracket?

Because it doesn't seem to stretch that far?

Do you have to stretch spring first?

Or am I doing it wrong?

have youu tried with the stand in all posistions

I've sorted this now, sorry I didn't realise there's another smaller spring (tensioner about 2 inches long) and I was missing this, this is why it wasn't working.lol. Thanks for everyones help though, got a kickstart problem to sort now, got to work out how the clutch plates come out to get to the kick start sprocket, because it's broken off.
