December 7, 200916 yr Hi, I need to get my Cota 200 barrell bored out to suit the new piston, can anyone recommend where I should have it done??? or where I shouldnt !!! I live on the Durham Yorkshire border. Ian
December 8, 200916 yr It may be too far away but try: Armstrong (engineering) at the bottom of Westgate Road, Newcastle where all the bike shops are situated. It was a while ago but they did a very good job for me on a Suzuki trail bike. The irony was that I worked at British Engines Limited at the time and my college lecturer asked me to do him a favour (guvvy job) by getting his Yamaha bored out in my machine shop....they made such an ar5e of it that when I needed my bike doing I paid 'punters rates' and went to Armstrongs.
December 9, 200916 yr Hi Ian, If it were me, I'd take it round to White Brothers in Darlington and Al the spanner to bore it, he does a proper job. They can't be too far away from you. If you don't know what clearence you want, Al would probably have a very good idea. Top place. Ta ta, PeterB.
December 9, 200916 yr As good as doing stuff as he is Al would have to work miracles to do this job as he hasn't got the kit to do it in his broom cupboard at Whites, the job would be sent out. I'm sure IKB already knows this.
