Trials Course Markings

Did my first trial last year, a novice trial. Absolutely hated it if i'm honest, didn't ride again for several months, put me right off.

One of the many things that contributed was the confusion over where I was supposed to be going. Wasn't until I'd completed 10 sections that I was told which flags I was supposed to be following. I had asked before starting but was given an answer as though I should already know this kind of stuff. Just to clarify the two trials they were running that day were novice and beginner.

I just practice on my own on some local waste ground nowadays.

You've ben really unlucky, the vast majority of riders are very helpfull.

Give another go, you know you want to.

I suppose it would be easer to have a selection of coloured cable-ties or PVC tape then affix the relevant coloured cable-ties/tape around the relevant side of the handlebar to serve as a simple visual reminder as to what colour flag/gate/marker is on which side.
