What Glue for Fender Screen ? - Rev 3

Featured Replies

I just purchased a new rear fender and the glued on screen is coming off already, just like the original. This is a 2008 Rev 3. Can anyone recommend a glue or other fixing method?

Hi

I find Renthal grip glue is as good as anything for jobs like this [also excellent for loose sticker edges and the like]

Best wishes

I just bought a rear fender for my 09 and the screens were falling off when i unrapped it. If you lightly sand the area where the screen makes contact with the fender and remove all of the hot glue from the screens you can reattach them with hot glue. Thats how i repaired mine.

Can you provide detail on using a soldering iron. I attempted this on my old fender by just pressing down for 30 seconds or so but nothing happened.

i hvae done it on my 4rts and now on my evo, i hold the soldering iron

on the metal untill it melts in to the plastic. i have also repaired mudguards

like this by melting small metal mesh over a crack. i borrow my father in

laws soldering iron which looks a bit like a drill ie not thin and pointy

so weather or not is got more power not sure
