Hi all other swm friends

has anyone got details of which jets, slide, needle etc. should be in the carb of a 1984 Jumbo ?

Hi Ian

That will depend on whether your motor has the reeds fitted or the blanking plate.

The diagram below shows both jetting options.

(Figures in brackets are if reeds are fitted.)

I just have a question about the things listed:

Getto minimo = idle jet

pillo conico = needle jet

Valvola gas = is this the slide or main jet ?

Polverizzatore = is this the atomizer ?

Some of the things I could get translated but not all as my Italien is 0

If my interpretation is right this looks like a pilot jet of 50 ( without reeds ) but what about the main jet? looks missing from this photo? or is this the atomiser? this is smaller than a 280 engine pilot '60or 65?

Main Jet = 100.

Atomiser = emulsion tube = Needle Jet.  AS 272 (no reeds) or AS 268 (with reeds).

Needle is X2, SX 200 doesn't exist as far as I have found.

Pilot = 50 (no reeds) or 60 (with reeds).

Slide = 60 (no reeds) or 70 (with reeds).

Here is an old spec sheet with various models of swm the jumbo is listed on there hopefully it will be of use.
