Rev 3 250 '06 Fan Blade Came Off

Featured Replies

Anyone know if the fan is just a push fit onto the motor? it came off yesterday during a trial. The motor works fine and I've pushed the fan back on the shaft and all OK but I'm guessing it will only come off again when riding although I cant get it back off the shaft now (vibration, knocks etc.)

any info much appreciated.

it is just a push on fit i think they can come away if the shaft gets hot softening the plastic fan ,, is the bearings in it ok ,, you might be able to get a bit of aroldite on the end of it to secure it better

Many thanks for info, bearing is ok. I might try and get the fan back off to get some aroldite on the shaft. Cheers

change fan you will only get grief if you stick it back on. i speak from experience, had a rev 3 do exactly the same thing. new fan motor gave no trouble at all
