250 Pro - Sprocket Change?

Hi, bought a 250 pro last week. I then purchased front and rear sprockets as they needed changing. I've bought front 11 tooth and rear 42 tooth thinking that was already on the bike.

I've checked the bike and the front is 10 and the rear is 42.

If I go up by one tooth on the front what difference will this make to the ride of the bike? And do I need a 102 link chain or longer?

Thanks Ben. Your feedback is much appreciated!

Hi Mate

Different strokes for different folks – I use a 10 tooth front (Clubman) it slows the whole deal down a bit which suits me – the standard length chain will be pretty close to the end of its adjustment with a 10 tooth and a bit too tight with a full link out – so you might need a half link or those super cool S3 adjusters with two sizes.

Cheers

Paul Mac

11/42 is stock, I run 10/42 my adjusters are about 3/4's the way back.

The last chain I bought was much too long but is was the only one available so I just cut it to suit.

Best thing is just try the different fronts and see which you prefer.,
