Hi,

I am interested in getting started in the wonderful world of trials riding, to advance my riding skills. I have my “R” class bike licence and have been riding on the road for about 3 years now and I have also done some bush bashing on a dirt bike. So I have the basics of riding a bike. I would like to get some info on what size bike and some info about getting started.

I live in Western Australia, I am a 30 year old male 184 cm tall and weigh about 110kg’s (not one of the skinny guys) I would really like to start in this sport to learn more bike control and meet some likeminded people. I don’t have a very big budget and would be looking to start with a complete setup for around the $1500 mark.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers

Dave

A nice strong montesa 315r would be the best bet for an older bike, its got to be the most robust and reliable 2 stroke at that money, and it a great bike, i had the 1997 model only, That was fantastic!

Hi Dabid

There's a user on the forums called Zacmul based in Australia - have a look in the videos section there's some good stuff. He might be able to help with some info from the right continent at least !
