December 16, 201312 yr Replacing the fork seals on my gas gas 200 year 200 (i think) and have taken the foks out of the clamps. Just wondering how to take the caps off the tops and bottom bolts and in which order as i cant get any grip on them..... cheers
December 16, 201312 yr put the forks back on the bike to undo top caps, then remove from bike. Don't over tighten clamp bolts, the clamps do snap. not sure on your actual forks but the bottom bolt can be undone with an air gun or battery impact gun, (assuming the internal is spinning) make sure you clean out the head of the allen bolts so that tool fits all the way in. December 17, 201312 yr Put it all back on the bike and then compress the forks with a strap to prevent the internals spinning - should let you undo the damper retaining bolt.
