Anyone out there coming from a GasGas (or Beta for that matter) curious what differences are noticeable. Stability, grip, turning, power, typically reliability issues.

These bikes remind me most of a GasGas. I'm wondering if they have the same light feel and neutral ergonomics, is the head angle overly steep (tendency to tuck)

Read a lot on here where they grip well, one rider said pegs felt high compared to other bikes.

Let's hear it!

My initial feeling jumping straight on the 250 ossa was either the pegs were high, or the front end was low, couldn't

work out which. I also thought the power was very linear and very smooth, this gave the initial impression that it was underpowered but this turned out not to be the case, it is just the way the power comes in: linear!

Is the handling of the bike odd or does the front end feel overly steep because of this?

Also do the high pegs make balance or handling funny?

You need to throw your leg over one to see for yourself, the first ossa I had I knew it was for me the moment I got on it, I didn't think the pegs were too high or together front too low, it just felt right to me, and very light, so much so that I bought a new 2013 factory model which is the dogs b****cks

Must admit I am struggling on mine. Not sure why ... I think the bars need brought back a bit as I keep pushing the front end on the slow stuff. If I bring the bars back though I feel to big on the bike if that makes sense. Next move is to try some risers and try again. Decided to stick with it as the linear power and amazing grip will make it a great bike if I can ever learn to ride the thing

On the flip side of that a couple of guys in the club have just started riding Ossas and have come on leaps and bounds ... Try one for yourself ... it is the only way

Ah!......sounds familiar, I put 10 mm risers on mine and felt much more comfy, more upright and balanced.

If your bars are like in your profile pic they look to only be a little further than I have mine so risers and a little turn back may make all the difference

The ergonomics of the gas gas are very good for taller riders. I've just changed from a gasser to a sherco without riding one before and was horrified by how high the pegs feel and how low the headstock is. I'm trying to find a solution to lower the pegs and have risers on already. That said the engine and gearbox are peachy.
