June 26, 201412 yr Hi there Quick question Will 2 trials bikes fit in a T5 with 2 rows of seats in (either short or long wheelbase)? Cheers John
June 26, 201412 yr Hi, Much easier in a lwb obviously. If you turn the front wheel and load them rear wheel first they should fit fine. I changed myT4 to a caddy maxi and can get two bikes in that and keep one of the middle row seats too. If you need an internal rack making get in touch . Cheers Trev.
June 26, 201412 yr Hi John, I have a T4 SWB which is near enough the same size. Mine has a 2nd row of proper VW quick-release seats in, in a 2+1 configuration. I can fit: One bike in diagonally with all seats in (+ 6 people) 2 bikes with the double seat removed (+ 4 people) 3 bikes in with all rear seats removed (+ 3 people) Though usually I take out the single rear seat next to the sliding door, leaving 5 seats. Hope that makes sense!
June 26, 201412 yr Author Thanks all for he quick replies and advice A friend of mine has also contacted me after seeing my post to say he has now got one so I'm going to have a look and see. Cheers John
June 27, 201412 yr You will just squeeze two trials bikes in a SWB T5 with two rows of seats in, but not even one enduro bike. If you fit a bulkhead, you will struggle with two trials bikes. With a LWB T5 you can manage up to two enduro bikes, even with a bulkhead behind the second row. They're great vans.
June 27, 201412 yr We get three trials bikes in a lwb t5 with second row of seats in fine, adding additional tie points helps. Can do two enduro with all seats in, but easier if you take one or two seats out
