....on the side of my 290, can't remember if it's on the carb or just next to it, there is a sight glass with markings.....can someone shed some light as to what that sight glass contains and what level it should be?

I am ready with a face palm if it's painfully obvious.

Got me guessing, cant think of any sight glasses on a Sherco. Is it an in line fuel filter?

Or is it the rear brake fluid reservoir?

thats around about where my rear break fluid reservoir is on my sherco.

I have just remembered the previous owner saying that the carb was upgraded, so this might be the cause for the confusion.

I took a picture of said sight glass in the hope it might ring a few bells -

That's the carb float bowl. It's typically not clear. The stuff in the bottom is petrol.
