Beta Mini Trial Issues

Featured Replies

Hi can anyone help with advice? We was at our local practice ground on sunday, when my lads beta mini trial started to play up. The engine ticks over fine, but as soon as you give some throttle the motor just bogs down and cuts out. At one point the back wheel jammed up when it first happened then it released itself. I am thinking the clutch has packed in. Could anyone please advise? Thanks Rob

hi sounds like you need to clean the carb out or you have a realy dirty air filter but to be fair start with the carb then the spark plug as well as did u mix the fuel and oil correctly

As Burns said its probably dirt or water in the carb and it needs cleaning out, but a little tip if it happens again while riding is to get the bike going on tickover then put the choke on which can "sometimes" allow you to rev it past the bogging down point and and give it a handful and this can pull whats causing your issue through the carb. If it works don't forget to turn your choke off... I had this problem a while ago after the first lap of a trial and this worked and managed to complete the event.
