Kick Start Washers, How Many?

Featured Replies

Removed my kickstart from the shaft and out fell 2 washers?

Looking at the GG exploded view it only shows one?

Also is it right that the washer doesn't initially sit flat because of the bolt which fixes the actual lever?

You mean outside of the cover?

THere should be a ''special'' spacer (part 16 below), and an allen bold.

Than the kickstarter, than the seal which is inside the cover.

Inside the cover there are two washers. 1 on top, one at the ''bottom''

THe kickstarter itself when taken apart actually has 4.

CrazyBond700,

Thanks for the reply, its the washers which are behind the kickstart lever itself which is in-front of the clutch casing, image attached.

Whe you refer to "special" washer mine was just standard.....

Number's 9 and 1 are inside the clutch case. Is this what you are referring to? There are no washers between the kick start and the shaft.

Like biffsgasgas says, there is none behind the kickstarter on the outside, just kickstarter and then the seal.

Might some light additions to post above to make clearer.
