My uncle has a 2011 ossa 280, the clutch is very heavy and really spoils the bike, i previously had the same year bike and mine was lovely and light, same as other bikes. Is there a way of lightening it, maybe removing a couple of springs?

The clutch only has one spring.

If yours was the same bike with a noticeably lighter set up then perhaps it would be worth checking out what you already have ? Perhaps the master or slave cylinders are partially seized, wrong oil used or has the hydraulic oil been changed from original spec ?

I do not think there should be much difference between bikes of a similar build spec so I would look for what may have changed first before you try to modify what you have.

I would guess the stack height is incorrect on the clutch plates. Get it measured up, you can get different thickness plates to end up with the correct height.
