October 10, 200520 yr Six petrol checks but you only need FIVE cans. Checks one & six are in the same place at Hurst & you fill up there on the way out & the way back in. The remaining checks (2 3 4 & 5) you only visit once. SO! Fill your can which goes to check one/six full. Fill the other four cans with enough gas to fill your tank up once.
October 11, 200520 yr ...yes, I am awaiting the "final instructions" but they keep on (not) coming. From my last bash atthis event many years ago, there were quite strict regs re the size/colour of number boards and numbering petrol cans. Maybe something in the post by this weekend?
October 11, 200520 yr I understand that the final instructions are in the post somewhere, I got my programme sent early last week. The petrol cans do have to be 'real' ones, crappy old tins etc are no longer acceptable. If you don't put your number on clearly it makes it difficult for the petrol teams to give you the petrol you want in the bloody rush you want! It must been a long time since you last rode as the club have provided number boards (same as the 3 day) for a lot of years now.
