Pipe Guard

Featured Replies

It's an old bike so I don't expect to find anything, but I was wondering if anybody knows of a pipe guard that will work on a 2005 SY250? Riding yesterday I melted my riding pant leg to the front exhaust lol.I was thinking a guard might be helpful. Thanks.

I made it myself with a piece of aluminum and couple of pipe clips. Ready to post the pics if you are interested.

I looked at Tryalsshop biffsgasgas and only saw one for the new bike. I will email Mike and ask.

exman sure I would like to see pics. I am not opposed to making one if I can't buy one.

Go down to your local AutoZone and get a radiator hose that has the same bend as your pipe.  Split it up the back, slip it on and secure it with a couple loops of safety wire and you're good to go.  I've done this on all my bikes.  It will get warm, but you can touch it and it will not melt our pants.  $12 bucks.
