Mikuni Carb On Italjet T250

Recently purchased  an Italjet T250 with view to restoring. It has a Mikuni carburettor on it rather than the Dellorto. Anyone know why this might have been done?

    Hi there' had one back in the day and it ran fine with the delorto.

     

    Maybe someone just wanted to try it with the Mikuni?

     

    Wasn't many about even then best of luck with the restoration.
