whats the best way to remove anodising?

i want to get it off my rev3s silencer so i can polish it up :hl:

    Anodising is a surface treatment. True definition is an electro-chemical process which physically alters the surface of the metal to produce a tough oxide layer on the surface. :hl:

    Wire wool it or scotchbrite it off and its gone ! Voila!

    Oven Cleaner with caustic soda in I would guess, suggest you do a small test if you go the caustic soda route, high concentrations can be quite agressive on aluminium.

    Heck if your going to polish it any will do

    we have used "easy off" but most any will work
