    Ty175 Age

Cut the frame in half and count the rings or look at this page on the TY trials web site TY Trials
  2. Found the following on the Pathe News Archive Site, thought they may be of interest to some of you. British Experts 1932 Colmore 1932 Leinster 1925 Bemrose with sound Southern Trial Yorkshire in the Snow
  3. I think what you are saying here is that the Labour Government installed the SNP in the Scottish Parliament to do their bidding in Scotland It was a monumentally stupid decision to release the bloke IMHO, but this one belongs to the Scots I would say.
  4. I have the shorter length shocks (came with the bike) but have dropped the forks in the yokes to improve the steering . Statement on the obvious, longer shocks will give you the same improvement but without the (small) loss of ground clearance. In all my dealings with TY trials I have found him to be knowledgeable and helpful, if and when I replace my shock I would happily accept his advise and buy the longer ones. Hope this helps ...
  5. I think its a French company, their website says Sherco S.A.R.L which is a type of limited company used in a number of countries which don't include Spain, see Wikipedia SARL if its to be be believed. Further evidence should it be needed that they are French is the bikes tendency to run backwards occasionally
  6. Suppose this thread will now degenerate into a discussion on which WTC Rider has the biggest pianist.
  7. I think the picture comes from the recent publicity event for Colgates new @nal floss product and has nothing to do with Canadians, but I might be wrong
  8. Do you mean one of these ....TLR Head Gasket
  9. JK Hirst carry a lot of parts, may be able to help JK Hirst Web Site
  10. Ok, presumably those of you who have started up your own companies (and by the way I wish I had the vision/courage to do the same) reserve the right to charge the maximum the market will stand, as an employee I expect to do the same. I will keep justifying and asking for better pay and conditions. I don
  11. Disagree, having worked for large multinationals most of my working life they are full of people doing above average work for their salary. They don't promote themselves and as such tend to come second place to those who make a better job of presenting themselves as the high achievers (which they may well be as well). You should always push your boss for a rise but bring data.
  12. If you want to annoy him tell him how disappointed you are with your performance and tell him you want to improve and schedule a meeting with him to develop an action plan (couple of hours should do it) then be sure to have monthly meetings with him to make sure you are following the plan and measuring your progress. Wont get you anywhere but it will get up his nose.
  13. If you are going to lap the head suggest you do it by rubbing in a figure "8" pattern. Apologies if I am telling my mother how suck eggs :-)
  14. Pretty sure the steel liner is as it came out of the factory, I think they sleeved the 250 barrel down to get the 200cc. There is a first oversize available (at least for the Rev 3) but nothing after that. However Nigel Birkett knows of a piston that will allow larger oversizes should they be needed. Hope you get satisfaction from the dealer but if not a 200 Beta really is an great beginners bike so you could be a lot worse off. Anyhow, best of luck sorting it out
  15. You may find that that model has a bronze bush small end rather than a traditional needle roller. I had a 2001 Rev 3 200cc that at some point in its life was changed from the bronze bush to a needle roller small end so there may be a kit (or at least a solution). So far as I know this was just a 200cc peculiarity. What was also unusual was the (maybe some) early Rev 3, 200ccs had steel liners (as opposed to plated) you may have the same thing on your techno. Don't know about a solicitor, in my experience the are cr@p mechanics ... Hope this helps, Mike
  16. There is the Ray Bean run by the worthing club 15th March Worthing Club Diary
  17. Not sure if this will work but a picture of an outstanding KT I took at the 2004 Stafford Show, hope its of interest http://www.flickr.com/photos/arun1664/3314562720/
  18. Had you considered that this may be a sign from above that you shouldn't clean/service your bike ? Also if they are reading this can we look forward to mass conversions to <insert faith of your choice> between sections? Lastly would you believe that on holiday in France last year we even got a knock on the door there, seems there is at least 1 phrase that is understood the world over.
  19. Two French paratroopers were seconded to the SAS for special training. After the first day they met up in the bar. "Ah, Pierre," asks one, 'ow 'av you been doing?" "Merde!" answers Pierre. "I 'av 'ad ze most terrible day. Terrible! At seex zis morning I was woken by zis beeg 'airy sergeant. 'E dragged me out of bed and onto ze parade ground." "And zen what 'appened?" enquired his mate. "I will tell you what 'appened! 'E made me climb urp zis seely leetle platform five feet off ze ground and zen 'e said "Jurmp!" "And did you jurmp?" asks his mate. "I did not. I told 'im - 'I am a French paratrooper. I do not jurmp five feet. Eet is beneath my dignity'." "And zen what 'appened?" asks his mate. "Zen 'e made me climb urp zis seely leetle platform ten feet off ze ground, and 'e said "Jurmp."> "And did you jurmp?" asks his mate. "I did not. I told 'im - 'I am a French paratrooper. I do not jurmp ten feet. Eet is beneath my dignity'." "What 'appened zen?" asks his mate. "Zen 'e made me climb urp zis rickety platform un'undred feet above ze parade ground. 'E undid 'is trousers, took out zis enormous weely, and 'e said 'If you do not jurmp, I am going to steek zis right urp your burm!'" "Sacre Bleu, mon ami" says his mate. "And did you jurmp?" "A leetle ....... at ze beginning."
  20. Trialsmm is right, fitted the kit to mine and I found it easier to remove the return spring on the K/S side so it folds out of the way easily. The pegs are well worth getting in my opinion.
  21. Couple more for you ... Watham Chase and Worthing who may be a bit out of your range
  22. I had a 2001, 290 as a beginner (not now!), get a 250. I am trying to get down to your weight so I don't think you will need to mess around with springs for a while especially as a beginner, Suggest you try the bike as it arrives before messing about with springs.
  23. When I rebuilt a 290 I got all the bits I needed from BVM Moto and received good service Here: BVM Moto You might also try the importers MRS I think ....
