December 28, 20178 yr Anyone local to Nottinghamshire have a flywheel puller for 15 onwards beta I could borrow? would sooner sort someone a drink to borrow than pay a fortune for the tool to use once. thanks
December 28, 20178 yr Cheap enough to treat yourself to one, Dan... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FLYWHEEL-PULLER-30-x-1-5mm-BETA-EVO-BETA-REV-3-SHERCO-TRIALS-/162287798592

December 28, 20178 yr Wrong one spen. That is for the earlier engines. The 2015 onward use the puller like this one https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/272949317462 I would buy one as they are one of those useful tools especially if you are playing with the timing to feel how it changes the bike.

December 28, 20178 yr Author Has anyone advanced the timing on the evo 300 to give it more grunt off the bottom?
January 2, 20188 yr Author I’ve got a 32mm x 1.5 left hand threaded puller today. Whats best way of locking the flywheel for undoing the nut on the beta there’s no holes for a tool and is the holding nut left hand thread aswell
January 2, 20188 yr Author Can anyone confirm the puller is left hand thread? Google searches leading to trials central all day lh thread but the seller on eBay said it’s a right hand thread on the puller he sells for the evo 15 onwards
January 3, 20188 yr If there is no way to hold the flywheel with a tool its going to have to be an impact gun mate {unless you need a "in the field" technique which may cause damage to other parts of your bike} my rev 3 has standard r/h thread on flywheel nut, not sure about your modern evo though sorry
January 3, 20188 yr Use a strap wrench. Sammy Miller used to sell a metal version with a threaded clamp that went round the outside of the flywheel for the Bultaco but works on anything. It may still be in their catalogue.
January 3, 20188 yr Author I’ve just spoke to beta Uk and the flywheel tool is rh thread not lh like a lot of posts say on here. Also on the 16 evo there’s a weight behind the clutch basket aswell that can be removed along with the weight behind the flywheel and also a base gasket can be removed.
