2010 Evo fork seals

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Have been lurking around here for a while. I recently picked up a Beta Evo 250 from 2010. For the age its in pretty good condition. After riding this weekend, it looks like one of the fork seals is weeping a little. If I was to change the seals, is there anything else recommended to do at the same point? I have seen some suggest the springs on the 2009 and 2010 Evo's to be not the best. What is the recommended replacement for the springs?

Any recommendations on oil weight or just go with whats in the manual?

Thanks a lot!

Yes, my hope is that I can clear it with a feeler gauge or something equally suitable (not sure I have any negatives anymore ;)).

This was more in preparation for clearing it out not being the solution and having to do the change. Obviously I am hoping for the simpler solution... Just not sure given I don't know the provenance of the bike (although I must say, pervious owner was an engineer and so far everything has been well looked after).
