Scorpa Sy250 Opinions

Featured Replies

:D Hello Scorpa people--can you advise?

I'm thinking about a SY250, hopefully '04 or '05yr.

Does anyone know what the difference is between these models?

Are there different SY250 models i.e imports vs UK dealer bikes, have there been any clutch mods?

I remember trying Martin Crosswaites bike (possibly an 03 model )at a show- the clutch was a bit heavy and the engine was easy to stall ( I think he had the timing advanced). At about the same time I also tried another 03 bike at a trial and it was much easier to use..lots of low down oomph!

So if you see what I mean: I like cheese but not chalk.

Any opinions please

:D Hello scorpa people... anyone there??please answer..

To mis-quote Ali G : 'Is it cos I is Sherco?'

HAM, i have an 04 model and mine is very much like the cheese you refer to, nothing like chalk at all.

I dont know the exact differences but i suspect besides the obvious colour changes its the usual jetting, porting and suspension changes in a very beta-esque style i.e you would not notice unless you rode both bikes back to back or you are some kind of pro.

As i said i have an 04 SY250 and i find it a very reliable and easy to ride trialler (after a 250PRO gasser)i think whichever you go for you would not be dissapointed, hope this helps.

 Yes.. I find the people who use the phrase--''as different as chalk and cheese ''have obviously never tried ASDA's own brand cheddar......exactly the same taste..awful!! :D
