November 23, 20187 yr Any of my fellow members here knows how the breather tube that sit on the left side in front of the gear lever is fastened? It is missing on one of my bikes and the one i received today looks just like it supposed to be pushed in.. See the red arrow on the picure below for the breather tube i am talking about Edited November 23, 20187 yr by thesaint
November 24, 20187 yr If the hole is worn use glue, don't block the end or let excess glue into the case.
November 25, 20187 yr Yup. Simple friction fit. I use a nylon/rubber hammer to gently tap mine into place. I guess one could use some sort of adhesive (silicon perhaps) to glue it into place.
November 25, 20187 yr Its just an interference fit & these have been known to pop out. A gentle tap usually suffices. I fitted a longer tube & ran it up into the airbox. Works for me.
November 28, 20187 yr Author Thanks for all good advices. I thought i better ask instead of just trying to tap the breather tube into the engine cover I used a little hammer and gently tapped the breather tube in place Here is a picture of the now, not anymore missing breather tube on the left side engine cover Edited November 28, 20187 yr by thesaint
December 2, 20187 yr Author sirdabalot. Whatkind of glue do you suggest? What about using car body glue used by car repair shops? Maybe thread locker even if there are no threads there Edited December 3, 20187 yr by thesaint
