January 17, 200620 yr I know it is a very long shot but does anyone have a kickstart shaft for the Italjet 6 speed trials of late 70's early 80's. or is there a way to modify one from another bike. (For those who do not know this was the major problem with this bike.... something of an Achillies heel)
January 17, 200620 yr You are correct-always the problem. If you are in Europe, I suggest you look for someone who wrecks Italian bikes as the gear box, ignition and motor cases etc were all taken from ( I think ) a Mineralli of the the time, with a copy of the Sherpa Barrel & head grafted on top Otherwise, find a good machine shop Good luck !!!

January 19, 200620 yr Dave Renham at Bultaco Uk 01784 440033 Has a used 250 Italjet engine in his worshop with a kick start shaft in, he wouldn't split the engine but I'm sure he would sell the engine.........
