January 27, 200620 yr We've had GAR for a couple of years and the toe-end of one of the soles flapped off within a couple of months requiring a visit to the local cobblers.....I've also used HEBO and they appear fairly durable ( well the last pair lasted for 4 years of regular competition)
February 1, 200620 yr How do the latest plastic buckle Gaerne's compare with the old steel loop 'Balance Lampkins' ? My Gaerne's (5yrs old) win hands down over my Gars (2 yrs old) for comfort every time, mainly as the Gars leave enough room to pack a spare tube round my calves. Are the Gaerne boots still a narrower boot or should I supersize myself to make my boots fit??
February 1, 200620 yr Eh! 4 and 5 years out of a pair of boots? Am I the only bugger that 'dabs' 'em out every 12 months?
