Hi Guys,

My front wheel is 'a bit :)' buckled, I just wondering if anyone has any experience or knowledge as to whether it is possible to straighten it rather then to get rid of it for another one? I would rather have a go at trying to straighten it at all possible?

Is the rim damaged, or just needing trued ?

Go round the spokes with a spanner or similar and tap each one, any dull sounding spokes are loose.

Get the wheel in the air and lub every nipple before trying to turn them.

Get some g clamps and lengths of angle iron loosen all the spokes g clamp the angle iron over the buckled area's heat gun the rim then tighten up all the spokes as equally as possible hopefully it's pulled the buckle out abit then finish the truing in the forks. Probably be cheaper and easier just to put a new rim on unless you have things like g clamps and lengths of decent angle iron knocking about.
