on it
Who is getting fed up ( or is it only happening to me ) when ordering parts from trials shop web sites , pay for the item . Only to find out that they dont have them in stock and they have to order the item in . So youve paid for the part and no clue when the item will turn up for you ! So tell me why are these shops advertise and sell stock they dont hold ?

trapezeartist
Trials is a niche sport so it's unrealistic to think that dealers can hold a stock of everything. Especially something like clothing with the vast number of permutations of style, colour and size. If they can get something in and then dispatch it to you in a few days, I think that's generally fair enough.
ukbta
As said, some parts may be drop-shipped to reduce stock holding. It gives the business more liquidity, which means that they are there for you long term. It is no good going out of business with lots of unwanted stock, that does nobody any good in the long run. If you really dislike it, stick to the dealers that state on the sales site if it is in stock. You will soon learn who is up to date on their sites, and who says they have it - but don't. That in itself may be to staff not booking stock in or out correctly that means stock levels are wrong - but you will see who can be relied upon, and who to call to check they have physical stock.
