Modern Sherco ST 250 trials bikes (equipped with Tech or Paioli forks), the typical fork oil capacity is approximately 250cc to 300cc per leg of SAE 5 or SAE 7.5 weight oil. However, it is highly recommended to set the oil level by height (usually 110mm-130mm from the top, compressed, without springs) rather than just volume for accuracy.
April 3Apr 3 My 04 Jarvis normally runs 130mm from top of compressed forks with no springs fitted, 5W fork oil is what I use
April 8Apr 8 Author I would still like a copy of the 2003/2004 manual for anything else. I can only find later models.
April 8Apr 8 Pre 1999 Montesa Cota 315R came fitted with Paioli forks and the service manual covers their service in great detail 👍
