April 28, 200620 yr I was just wondering what the fellow 240 owners use for Oil in there Gearbox and if any have tried ATF Oil like in the modern Trials bikes. Cheers Glen
April 28, 200620 yr I use ATF in my 240s and 300s. The clutch slipped on the 300 with Elf Synth gear Oil and no longer does. Just make sure you change it regularly as the mains need good oiling. At 500cc its not that expensive. HTH
April 30, 200620 yr I use ATF as well.Clutch grips better now and doesnt drag either......perfick !! It works better with old clutches than the usual oil that many recommend .
