Just trying to do basic maintenance on the new steed. Found the air filter was just loose in the box and can't get it to seat into the outlet.

Doesn't help that my hands are too big to fit in the box.

Any pictures about of how it should fit.

Also the rad cover sits very close to the rad itself, definitely needs a mudflap fitting on the front mudguard.

Make sure the 2 pegs close to each other on the air filter frame are at the bottom when you try to fit it. If you twist the filter a bit you should feel when they locate. It is also very difficult to get the screw to line up. You need the knob to be touching the bottom of the airbox before it is lined up right.

Turns out the screw, part 34 above was missing and the filter rattling loose in the airbox.

Rode a very wet trial at the weekend with only a small amount of splash into the box. Will be putting some coarse open cell foam in the gap in future.

There's a knack to get the filter fastened in particularly if you're big handed!

Very similar to gg pro design. As the filter is at the exit of the box into the carb dont worry too much about water splash in the box. As long as that box has a drain hole in the bottom and as long as you oil the filter it will be ok. Rode 2009 ssdt on a pro, very very wet week but bike never drowned
