the new scorpa seems nice (to early to tell )but the sherco was fine for about three months.
as a clubman level ride i think the scorpa will fit right in
I am finally getting used to my monty (really soft usable power with restictors in )
and the kit is on the way for the sherco ,now this bike is really an expert level bike (to much power for me)
Lots of people comment on the noise of the fourstroke have they never heard a pre 65 bike now that is noisey, but i love them aswell

I had a short ride on the Scorpa, but it needs a bit more development otherwise it will fall foul like the Sherco when it was launched. I'm also still waiting on the upgrade kit to come for my Sherco.
Just got a Montesa 4RT last week for myself, rode it yesterday in a club trial and again, I agree it's a soft motor compared to the first one I rode (a friend's bike in late 2004) - didn't like it as it was too fiery for me. However, I have had to eat my words on the Montesa, I'll be holding on to mine for a while, that's for sure!
I'm just going to keep my Sherco 4T when it's sorted, I still like it.
After all I'm a bit of a four stroke fan I suppose!

In which way does the Scorpa "need development"?

I would like to keep my sherco when its sorted but the wife would kill me
i bought the monty on the plastic
matty, I think b j like myself feels it is a bit early to truely judge the scorpa yet (its early days )As from our own experience a factory developed bike and a trials ready bike ar two verry different things.
We have not got the benifit of a factory mechanic in the garage;but i still wish the bike every success.I had three scorpas in a row inc the little 125f

I was disapponted when the Sherco 4t gave starting/reliability problems, I honestly believe that this will be put behind them, but it has taken a year to do so.
I confess that when Sherco brought out their 2T they got it fundamentally right first time, I for one thought that they would have done the same when the four-stroke was released to the buying public, I was wrong.
In my opinion, the Scorpa 4T just needs a bit more work carburation wise, but I would still be wary of being "first on the block to have one". "Once bitten, twice shy"... as the saying goes!
Having said that my Sherco four-stroke is not for sale.

Loads of video footage been sent to Andy to post on TC but he's too busy chatting up Big Bad Bubba in Tennessee
PS
Any doubts about the Mont 4rt and it's EFI can be disproved when you see the video of Grant Morris (?) at Kilamalieu. I've watched it about 20 times so far
