After riding the last section, Fug rode around the stage and as he turned to ride up the ramp onto the stage his front wheel fell off and he had a scary moment, his face was a picture, but as the crowd cheered.........not a smile or anything. He just carried on off the ramp, turned and rode back up it . I would of bin in a big heap, bright red !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was obviously very disapointing that Dougie didn't achieve his 100 WTC round win in front of a home crowd and thus make it 3 British riders topping all the podiums. But it was great to see Fujigas take a momentous win. The pressure of needing to clean the very last section certainly showed at the end, especially for a nation not readily associated with displays of emotion. He is certainly keeping the pressure on Raga, lets hope Doug can also contribute to that pressure. Well done to Browny and Wiggy and Dibs looked to be having a cracking ride on lap 1, shame it went a bit Pete Tong on lap 2. As for Doug's 100 WTC. Andorra.

Did any one else see the 'dipstick' with BLUE trainers and wearing shorts following a rider in the mid forty's??? riding a Sherco....................... Wot a 'tinhat' He got stuck going to section 10 plus and and burn't his leg on the exhaust.. Wot about Health and Safety for ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just had a quick look at another couple of charts since I came to work this evening. Saturday, You could be really lucky and only have a few patches of light rain to deal with tomorrow might catch the odd heavier burst but not much, last nights model seems to have overdone it a bit. Pic 1 is three consecutive frames from what we call Morph (no not tony harts wee plasticine buddy) for 12z 15z and 18z tomorrow (1pm, 4pm and 7pm). As before smaller blue dots is very light rain the bigger dots a little heavier, green and yellow heavier still. By proper drinking time it should be dry 24 degrees Sunday looks ok, but there are showers around and you MIGHT catch a couple. Pic …

Final notes for those coming to the Trials event of the year this weekend: For those who are collecting wristbands on-site who I've not communicated this to - the Trials Central area will be next to the on-site beer tent. I believe that's to be at the bottom of the camping area, but should be easily spotted regardless. We'll be there both Friday and Saturday evenings. Wristbands will be needed BOTH nights. Any spare wristbands you have then please bring them and return them to me. They're in short supply and high demand. DO NOT FORGET YOUR WRISTBANDS - replacements are not available!!! They will not be a bigger crowd at any other WTC this year. Hawkstone is going to be massive. I've been to a couple of other World Rounds and my comments are as follows:- Spain. Sections about 15km from the paddock and not a single stall selling trials merchandise. Don't get me wrong the sections were good and there was a bar and BBQ amongst the first group. Nigran was a pleasant little resort with some good restaurants and a few bars. Poland. The amount of merchandise on sale was limited. Last Forecast for the weekend, I'm off on my hols now and missing Hawkestone AGAIN However, hope the pics work. What does it mean, well Saturday afternoon could be grim, a band of rain spreading across the country (the blue, green and yellow dots and triangles) through Sat afternoon and into the evening. The wind will pick up a little as well but temps still into the 20s, rain should have pushed through by mid evening and shouldn't water the beer down. (because of the geography around Hawkestone you might get away with only lighter patchy rain but you've been warned.) I've been following the world scene for close to 10 years now and have NEVER heard or been able to find out what the purse money is in the world events......Do these guys get anything, or do they live off of their sponsorships. I've followed US Supercross for 20 years and was recently bowled over to find out these guys win about $1,500 for a win in the main!! I can see why they drop out so fast and nobody fresh comes in and stays for long.

I was stood right at it. Down a steep bank into a river. Didn't lift the front wheel quite soon enough. The plan was to get a nice "water splash" photo. This wasn't the kind of splash I had in mind!

I'm sure the numbers have been posted already, but just wondering how many spectators attended the WR at TTC? Seemed like a bunch of people!

Does anybody have any details or experience of travelling to the Andorra roud of the world championship? I note that last year the trial was based in Sant Julia de Loria, whilst this year it is listed as La Rabassa, which I believe is just a few Km away. I'd be keen to know where is the best place to be based & what is the best airport to fly into. Many thanks

This morning i got back from Lake Garda in northern Italy where my wife and i stayed for a few days whilst visiting the Italian World round. We left there at 0830am and rolled in at Surrey at 01.30am.So tired i cant sleep. Anyway , ive been to few world rounds recently including the Swiss and Andorran jobbies and found that the Italian round was by far the hardest and the best. You could go where you wanted to and was free as well as being well organised It was about 35% so incredibly hot and dry / dusty. The sections were very impressive unitlizing large banks and huge boulders and rocks. The video of section 8 on this site does not do this natural trial justice. …

So 5 artificial sections in Japan, can,t see that can be the way to go. Will we soon have a Indoor WTC and a Outdoor/Indoor WTC ? Anybody else seem concerned at the way the WTCis headed?

I was going through the emails last night sorting out the prediction league and got thinking about how up and down the championship was this year so, out of idle curiosity decided to graph it. Peaks and troughs for a lot of the riders. Certainly makes things more interesting.
