Unless I am mistaken Shaun Morris and Taddy Blasusiek are no longer taking part in the WTC, as raised in another thread.

So after a short break the WTC starts up again in France, I must admit I've got withdrawl symptoms and I'm envious of anyone who has made the trip to the South of France. I'm sure it will be a fantastic round. Will anyone manage to put a halt to Bou's impressive start to the season. Can Doug repeat last years French win and thus gain his, amazing, 100th WTC round win. lets hope so. I expect the usual battle between Raga and Fujigas and one can never rule Cabestany out. Be good to see Dibs further consolidate his 6th placing and he will no doubt be looking at the scalps of Friexa and Fajardo. In the junior WTC I would hope and expect an Atom win and a Wiggy podium. Go…

I am thinking about going to the Polish event in early July in Myslenice. Could anyone tell me how close it is to Krakow as that is where I intend to source a hotel. Any other info welcome.

I was watching the trial on eurosport earlier on in the week. How come the repsol factory team are still on 06 colours? Micheal Browns team mate Daniele Maurino was riding on a 03 Beta not 07? Any ideals?

I'm a litle confused about the new minder rule and what is it supposed to achieve. This ruling was brought in at the request of the factories to cut costs, yet at Mancha Real the factories still appeared to have the same number of minders, albeit only one would actually be in the section the rest would be shouting out the time, looking after bikes etc. The severity of the sections has not been reduced to account for the fact the riders only had one minder and there were certainly plenty of scary sections were more than one minder was needed. It just appears that if anyone has lost out from this ruling then it is the riders.

We've heard the chorus of disapprovals to the trial being held in the Central American country of Guatemala but hears to a successful weekend for all the British Riders. Hopefully we'll see Doug not just get on the podium but top it and see Dibs carry on in much the same vein as his first round performance. Another fine Atom performance in the Junior and a Wiggy podium. Not forgetting all the other British riders who have made the epic journey west. Oh and lastly can we have the above for both days. Thanks.

Congrats to Dibs on a well earned 6th place in Spain. Clearly not an easy trial and was well ahead of previous rivals to put a claim in for a top rider!! Seems to be going from strength to strength, clearly the talent is there and a bit more experiance of the big time wtc rounds and he is turning into a contender. He is another who seems to have adapted quickly and very well to the monty 4rt!! Nice one , you will be making cota kid proud

  13. Started by cota kid,

Having just returned from the Spanish Round of the WTC, feeling very satisfied at the performance of the British riders, I thought I would give some of my thoughts on the event. Both days competitions where to put it mildy, exceptionally tough. The torrential rain on the Saturday evening making the sections look impossible never mind cleanable. When you see the likes of Raga amd Fujigas taking a five rather than attempt a section then you know its difficult. The new one minder rule did not, in this round, lead to a reduction in the severity of the sections. The odd mattress being strategically placed to catch a falling rider, bike, minder or all three. Luckily enough the…

Reading Jake Miller's article on page 4 of this weeks T&MX got me thinking. Does anyone know of any bookies were you can have a bet on the WTC? I might even have a bet on a Watford v Blackburn FA Cup Final. Oh sorry I forgot its been fixed by the FA for a Chelski v Man Utd final. I'm not bitter, honest.......

Whilst it may seem like ages away, I'm making the most of what is a "quiet time" for me in the calendar to plan 2007 and that includes the British world round at Hawkstone and, in particular, the Trials Central get-together. 2005 was the first get-together. It was totally informal and not restricted to Trials Central folk. Unfortunately things got slightly out of control due to a very small minority of non-Trials Central people who couldn't handle their drink. 2006 was, I believe, a total success. Lessons were learned from 2005, access was controlled to ensure it was actually Trials Central readers and members who were allowed in and feedback afterwards indicated all wh…

Four weeks tomorrow will see the eagerly awaited start to the 2007 World Outdoor Trials Championship in Mancha Real in Andulacia, Spain. Me and DJ Denzil are making the trip to cheer on Doug, Dibs, Browny, Wiggy and the rest of the GB lads. Is there anyone else making the trip. No doubt the usual suspects will be up for a few Cerveza's and a plate of olives anyone else is always welcome to join in.

Well done to Tony Bou for winning the Indoor World Championship. Looking down the list of riders he beat to take the series; I was wondering how many World Championships the riders Bou has beaten have between them? Kind of makes Bou's debute on the 4RT rather impressive, doesn't it?

Well done to the lad. I'm really pleased for him and I think having Fuji and Dougie as part of the team will help him keep his feet on the ground and not go down the arrogant route Raga did that has now bitten him firmly on Highland Lassie's favourite a**e! I am going to have some serious fun with Octagon on this one...
